Mr. Ioannis Tavantzis is an Urban Planning & Development engineer. He is a PhD candidate in the Laboratory of Geoinformatics (LabGeo) at the School of Spatial Planning and Development, Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece specializing in Geoinformatics and Smart Cities. He is an active member of the research team of LabGeo and over the last 3 years he has been participating in the implementation of National and EU funded research and innovation projects (Horizon2020 & Erasmus+). This period he is participating in the implementation team of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie research project as a visiting PhD Candidate at Northeastern University in the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, Boston MA.
