Mrs. Eleni Karachaliou holds a MEng in Urban/Spatial Planning & Development Engineering (5 year degree) from the Engineering Faculty of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and an additional Master’s degree in Geoinformatics (emphasis on Management of Photogrammetric production and Remote Sensing with GIS), also from AUTH, as a fellow of the Onassis Foundation (2014-2015). Over the last 8 years, she has been participating in national and international research, development, and innovation projects in several sectors (i.e. Transport, ICT, Environment, Energy, Health, etc.). as a research associate, consultant, and project manager. Her research and professional interests focus on the broader field of collection, distribution, storage, analysis, processing, presentation of geographic data or geographic information using a variety of methods and tools such as GIS, remote sensing, laser scanning, photogrammetry, UAV platforms, and others.
