The educational program is designed and implemented by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). In the implementation of the program participate the Cluster of companies ‘IKE Nuclear Fruits’ (Network of the Greek Canning Fruits), the Agricultural Cooperative of Rachi Pieria ‘AGIOS LOUKAS’ and the Municipality of Naoussa. The Scientific Coordinator of the project is the Vice Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning, Associate Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Efstratios Stylianidis.
A total of 50 young people wishing to engage in arboriculture or arborists with moderate or extensive experience will have the opportunity to acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills related to the cutting-edge technologies used in modern arboriculture. The program lasts 28 hours and will be implemented in Imathia and Pieria (a total of 56 hours for both areas). Includes theoretical and practical courses.
At the end of the program a Certificate of Attendance will be given.
The main goal of the program is to educate the farmers of Central Macedonia in the application of innovative methods and technologies that will allow the transition from the conventional to the “smart” Arboriculture of the future.
The training program is aimed at young people who want to engage in modern arboriculture and gain valuable knowledge to develop their skills or to arborists with moderate to extensive experience who want to become more competitive by acquiring knowledge and skills related to modern technologies, such as the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
