The final evaluation of the PreLive project “Development of an innovative system for precise breeding of #dairy #cattle to increase #milkproduction and ensure welfare” has been completed successfully. The project was implemented within the framework of the “Research-Create-Innovate” program and was funded by #greece and the European Commission.
The project was conducted in collaboration with DOTSOFT SA and Explicit companies, while the interdisciplinary team of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) consisted of: (a) the Clinic of Livestock Production, (b) the Laboratory of Geoinformatics | Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and (c) the Laboratory of Machine Dynamics.
The Laboratory of Geoinformatics undertook the design and development of the subsystem using #thermalimaging to support the diagnosis of lameness in dairy cattle.
